Type-led design and resolution
Where the subject is text, resolution is not a matter of taste. Under-resolution photography looks soft; under-resolution type looks broken — thin strokes fragment and edges fringe. Check the pixel dimensions listed on each page, particularly if you intend to print.
Attribution of quotes
Quotations circulating online are frequently misattributed, and these graphics are community-contributed rather than fact-checked by us. If you are putting a quote on a wall, in a presentation or anywhere it will be taken as accurate, verify the attribution independently first. It is a common enough problem that it is worth the two minutes.
Flat colour prints predictably
The upside of typographic design is that it reproduces reliably in print — no gradients to band, no saturated photographic colour to fall outside CMYK.
