What you can do with Pixbee downloads
One licence covers every wallpaper and every sound effect on this site. It is short on purpose.
You can
- Use files personally — desktop, phone, tablet, printed for yourself
- Use them commercially, including in paid client work
- Use them in monetised videos, streams and podcasts
- Edit, crop, recolour and combine them with other work
- Use them without crediting Pixbee
You cannot
- Re-upload the files as your own wallpaper or stock library
- Sell the files as-is, or bundle them into a paid pack
- Use them as training data for machine-learning models
- Claim authorship of the underlying artwork
- Use them in a way that is unlawful or defamatory
Where our files come from
Pixbee is a curated library rather than an original studio. Files come from three places: works released under permissive licences by their creators, works submitted directly to us for distribution, and works in the public domain. We compress and generate derivatives (WebP and AVIF previews) but do not alter the artwork itself.
If you are the rights-holder for something here and want it removed, email support@pixbee.org or use the contact form. Include the URL and we will take it down while we review — we do not require a formal notice first.
Fan art and licensed characters
A large part of any wallpaper library depicts characters, logos, clubs and people owned by someone else. Our licence governs our distribution of the file; it cannot grant you rights that the rights-holder has not granted. For personal use — your own screen — this is not something you need to worry about. For commercial use of a recognisable character or brand, the underlying rights are yours to clear.
Common questions
Can I use Pixbee wallpapers commercially?
Yes. You can use them in commercial work — client projects, product mockups, video backgrounds, streams and thumbnails — with no fee and no attribution.
Do I have to credit Pixbee?
No. Attribution is appreciated but never required for wallpapers or sound effects, unless a specific sound effect page says otherwise.
Can I redistribute Pixbee files on my own site?
No. You cannot re-upload our files as a competing wallpaper or stock library, bundle them into a paid pack, or sell them as-is. Use them in your work, do not resell the files themselves.
Are the sound effects royalty-free?
Yes. Every sound effect is royalty-free for use in videos, games, podcasts and apps, including monetised ones. There are no per-use fees and no reporting requirements.
Can I use these for AI training or generation?
No. Using Pixbee files as training data for machine-learning models, or as source material for generative output, is not covered by this licence.
What about trademarked characters?
Some wallpapers depict characters, logos or people owned by third parties. Our licence covers our distribution of the file; it cannot grant rights the rights-holder has not granted. For commercial use of a recognisable character or brand, check with the rights-holder.
This page summarises the licence in plain language. The full terms govern where the two differ.
