Calligraphy needs resolution

Arabic calligraphy is fine linework, often with hairline strokes and precise curves. Like typography in print, it is unforgiving of low resolution and heavy compression — thin strokes break up, edges fringe, and the letterforms lose the precision that is the entire point of the art. This is the part of the collection where matching your screen resolution properly matters most.

Geometric pattern scales beautifully

Islamic geometric design is the opposite case. Repeating tessellation is built from hard edges and flat colour, which enlarges cleanly and compresses efficiently. These are among the most reliable wallpapers on the site at any size, and they tile well across large or multi-monitor setups.
